Can I tell you how excited I am for our vacation to San Diego/Disneyland with my husband and kids? Though one of my very smart friends gave me an excellent idea about how to keep them entertained for the long drive that I think I am going to try. So thanks to Cristy!!!! It's always nice to have friends smarter than you to help you along the way.
So, I didn't do my research very well when making reservations at the hotel in San Diego. When I found a family suite for $87 a night, I just thought SWEET!!!! I can totally afford that. I don't even care if the room is less than perfect. It's just a room, right? Then another totally smart friend (you rock Krissi) and her almost as smart husband (sorry Brent) told me that it was probably in the ghetto or something. So, I did a little bit more research. Yeah, come to find out that it was right across the street from Larry Flynt's Hustler club and next to about 4 strip clubs and nudie bars. Ummmm, probably not the best thing for my 9-year-old and 7-year-old boys to be looking at. Now, why don't they tell you these things on their website? SHEESH! So now it's not $87 a night and I am under a gag order not to disclose the new amount under penalty of death. Here's hoping that the Hilton Homewood Suites will be safer than Bay Inn & Suites. ;)
So, thanks to all my brilliant friends (you know who you are), I may be able to get through this vacation relatively intact. What would I do without ya'll?

Can't wait to see the pics have a great vacation. Bye the way Brent's opinion is you should have stayed by the ta ta clubs. :)
ReplyDeleteI think I stayed near the Hilton Homewood suites (like, 8 years ago). Not at them, but near them, and they looked nice.
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous (but not really jealous 'cuz I'd be toting a 2 year old and 7 month old, which in all reality doesn't sound that fun), but still jealous that you're going to Disneyland! Saving my pennies (another great idea from smart friends!). HAVE FUN in sunny CA!
